Just one week ago we were contemplating the first picture of Intel's upcoming quad-core processor codenamed Nehalem and today we have more images to almost drool over. First up, it is an engineering sample of an LGA1366 Nehalem CPU, apparently clocked at 1GHz. The higher-clocked version of this 45nm processor should start arriving in the fourth quarter of the year for servers and dual-socket gaming platforms and feature an integrated memory controller, HyperThreading and more. ![]() The second picture depicts an early dual-socket server motherboard made by Gigabyte and codenamed 7TESN-RN which supports the Bloomfield line-up (Bloomfield being the little silicon thingie above). Of course, both components are still pretty far from actual release so for more we'll probably have to wait a little longer (or just one more week). ![]() |
